This year we are going to embrace the constructivist model of knowledge acquisition. Implementing a hands-on student centered curriculum with the focus being on improving and increasing the amount of dialogue between students and between students and teachers. We are looking for the levels and duration of these discussions to increase. We hope to achieve this by allowing ample opportunity for the students to engage in conversations related to the ongoing investigation. Field notebooks will be emphasized, with the Math and Science teacher collaborating with the ELAR teacher on writing assignments and expectations.
